The ‘Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is an unusual story and is one of the most horrifying and moving book that any teen can read. It is about the story of history in the ‘World War 2’ by which most people feel they would rip out their hearts. This event seared into the fabric of history and will be very difficult to even think about it. It is the story in the eyes of a small innocent and Nazi 9-year-old boy. But it is not for children and not any ordinary child.

Bruno is a nine-year-old boy who lives in a big house in Berlin with his mother father and elder sister Gretel. He was happy in Berlin with his friends and school but just one twist in his life ended his happiness. His father who was a soldier in the Nazi Army of Hitler had a new job in the country and the whole family had to leave Berlin and shift to the country side near a concentration camp. He was very unhappy leaving Berlin and his friends behind and living in a place where there was no company except his father’s army colleagues. Bruno is an adventurous boy and dreams of being an adventurer. So, when he reaches his new home, he got a room where there was a view of the camp and when he spoke about it in supper the next day his window was sealed and once again, he was alone so he thought of exploring the place a bit. So, one day he snuck out of his house and explored until he met a wired wall with a boy in striped Pyjamas with his shaved head down and sobbing. This is how a Nazi boy became best friends with a Jewish boy and that too during the world war 2. Read the book to see the strong bond of friendship and how they left together holding their hands.
