We all know about the World War 2. Even if we don't, we can simply search Google and get it in Wikipedia. And after that we form our own conclusion of it - who was bad, who was good, they should have done this instead of that and so on. We read books about it but only from the view of an onlooker and subconsciously we read it from the view of the country we support. But, and yes there is a but, have we ever seen it from the view of a person who only wants peace? Have we ever seen it from the view of a person who just wants all of it to end so that they can simply go out and enjoy life? No, we haven't.
' The Diary of a Young Girl' is an autobiographical work based on the diary of Anne Frank, a young ordinary and yet extraordinary girl who was unfortunate enough to have to go to hiding. Her diary is an account of life in hiding under such small quarters of a small part of her father's office building when the rest of the world considers them dead or worse- captured by the Nazis. It is the single most account of LIFE during the World War 2. From listening to the wireless during dark to the constant fright and dread of the thought that they would be found and captured, this book covers all the thoughts and personal feelings of Anne Frank on various matters and also on the various people who went into hiding with the Frank family giving it a personalized effect and constantly reminding us of the fact that this is a diary of an ordinary young girl. Now enough spoilers, I will leave the rest for you to find out.
