Vagrants in the valley - written by Ruskin Bond - reviewed by Alia Singh

This is the second book in the Rusty series. This is also a very nice book. This book shows many more different sides of Rusty. He makes many new friends while trying to find out more about his past and his family. Mr. Pettigrew(an old man) is the one who will help him out for his journey. You will have to read to find out if he finds anything.

In this story we also view a wiser version of Rusty as he realizes that he needs a stable job rather than the ones he has done earlier.

Rusty chooses to travel to foreign to get a job he would be proud to have, he decides to meet Kishen for hopefully the last time before leaving. He finds out that Kishen desperately needs a guide as he runs away from his house. We, the readers will see them travelling on foot. We also see the two friends have a lot of fun and adventure together after a long time.

This book has open ending and therefore there is a part three to the series.

This story shows that before success, we have to face the hardships that might come in the way. All successful people have faced hardships in order to achieve success.

I would recommend this book to kids aging 12 and above. I would be happy to know if any of you read it.

Rating for the book - 8/10
